CT Technologist (Computed Tomography Technologist, CT Tech) - Summary- Operates specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patient anatomy
- Supports radiologists with accurate imaging for diagnosis of various diseases and conditions
- Ensures patient comfort, safety, and proper preparation for all procedures
- Balances technical responsibilities with exceptional patient care
- Operate head and body x-ray scanners to create computer-generated cross-sectional (CAT/CT) images
- Educate and prepare patients for examinations, ensuring they understand the procedure
- Obtain and review patient medical history prior to imaging exams
- Position patients accurately to ensure optimal visualization of targeted anatomy
- Set and adjust technical parameters for each scan to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology
- Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process
- Work collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals
- Demonstrate independence and sound judgment while being supervised by a board-certified radiologist

- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
