CT Technologist (Computed Tomography Tech, CT Tech) - Summary
- Performs high-quality computed tomography scans for diagnostic purposes
- Works closely with radiologists and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging
- Operates and maintains advanced CT imaging equipment
- Ensures patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality throughout the imaging process

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and verify imaging orders
- Explain CT scan procedures to patients and address any questions or concerns
- Position patients appropriately to obtain clear and accurate images
- Operate CT scanners and related imaging equipment in accordance with established protocols
- Monitor patients during scans to ensure safety and comfort
- Review images for quality assurance and communicate findings with radiologists
- Document patient information, imaging procedures, and results accurately in electronic medical records
- Follow all radiation safety guidelines and infection control procedures

Qualifications & Requirements
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program with a focus on computed tomography
- Valid certification as a CT Technologist (ARRT-CT or equivalent)
- Current state radiologic technologist license, if required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong understanding of CT imaging protocols, anatomy, and pathology
- Proficient computer and electronic medical record skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
