Duties & Responsibilities
- Administering anesthesia for a variety of surgical and diagnostic procedures including orthopedic, general, ENT, gynecological, endoscopy, ophthalmology, and plastics cases, according to assignment location.
- Collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care before, during, and after procedures.
- Performing thorough pre-anesthesia assessments and formulating individualized anesthesia plans based on patient needs and procedure requirements.
- Monitoring patients’ vital signs, responses to anesthesia, and managing any emergent situations with calm expertise.
- Utilizing both general and regional anesthesia techniques as appropriate to the case and facility preferences.
- Documenting all aspects of patient care, anesthesia administration, and procedural outcomes accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintaining open communication with team members and participating in ongoing quality assurance activities.
- Adhering to hospital protocols, safety regulations, and infection control standards at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current and unrestricted certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
- Licensure as a CRNA in the assignment state, or eligibility for rapid credentialing in the state.
- Demonstrated clinical experience administering anesthesia for a wide range of surgical procedures.
- Competence in both general and regional anesthesia techniques; experience with regional blocks preferred but not required for some assignments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to float between facilities if desired; providers may also choose to work at a single site.
