We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Nurse Practitioner (CCNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dedicated critical care team. This full-time opportunity is ideal for healthcare professionals passionate about delivering advanced, comprehensive care to critically ill patients within intensive care unit (ICU) settings, including Medical, Surgical, and Cardiovascular ICUs. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Critical Care Nurse Practitioner plays a vital role in patient assessment, diagnosis, and management, ensuring exceptional standards of care and patient outcomes.

The Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other allied healthcare professionals to provide acute care services, utilizing advanced clinical skills and evidence-based practices. This position features a 7 on/7 off nocturnist schedule, promoting work-life balance while providing the opportunity to make a significant impact during critical care hours.

Critical Care Nurse Practitioner (CCNP) - Summary
- Provide advanced clinical care to patients in Medical, Surgical, and Cardiovascular ICUs as a valued member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Contribute to the delivery of evidence-based, compassionate, and patient-focused critical care.
- Work a 7 on/7 off nocturnist schedule, allowing for balance between professional duties and personal pursuits in a coastal lifestyle setting.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals from various specialties to optimize patient outcomes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments and ongoing monitoring of critically ill patients in ICU settings.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans in consultation with the interdisciplinary team.
- Execute diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as central line placement, arterial line insertion, and intubation, as appropriate to training and credentialing.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies.
- Document clinical findings, progress notes, and care plans in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, and care plans, ensuring clear communication and support.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence.
- Attend and contribute to multidisciplinary rounds and team meetings.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to nursing staff and other allied health members as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current licensure as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
- Minimum of one year of experience in a critical care or intensive care setting.
- Demonstrated procedural competency in common ICU interventions.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current certifications as required by state and national standards (e.g., ACLS, BLS).
