Critical Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP, MICU) - Summary
- Provide advanced clinical care to medical and surgical ICU patients across multiple hospital settings.
- Perform invasive procedures such as arterial line and central line placements.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Flexible scheduling with a primary focus on night shifts and some days, accommodating 3 to 10 shifts per month based on availability and organizational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of critically ill patients and implement appropriate interventions.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary in collaboration with attending physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Initiate and manage life-sustaining treatments and procedures in accordance with best practices and hospital protocols.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and critical care processes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development activities.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory, licensing, and organizational policies.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license with ACNP certification.
- MICU/ICU experience required for successful independent practice.
- Must hold active Texas licensure.
- Expertise in placing arterial and central lines, with demonstrated proficiency.
- Ability and willingness to work night, day, and weekend shifts as scheduled.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
