Credentialing Specialist - Summary
- Manages the end-to-end credentialing and privileging process for candidates and clients, primarily within government healthcare contracting environments.
- Serves as the main liaison for candidates and clients, ensuring timely and compliant onboarding.
- Supports the mission of delivering quality care to service members, veterans, and their families.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle credentialing and privileging process for DoD healthcare candidates.
- Maintain, monitor, and manage critical timelines for credentialing and onboarding activities.
- Conduct second interviews with privileged providers to review privilege processes and requirements.
- Present candidates for personal service contract approval and coordinate interviews between DoD sites and applicants.
- Collect and verify credentials, education records, licenses, and certifications through primary source verification.
- Complete employment verification and reference checks as part of the credentialing process.
- Assemble and process security packages, including gathering identification documents, coordinating fingerprint appointments, and managing eQIP submissions.
- Review and compile occupational health records, ensuring all outstanding requirements are met.
- Complete DoD employment verification forms as required.
- Support and engage candidates throughout the credentialing and privileging process, ensuring a positive experience.
- Maintain compliance with Joint Commission standards and manage MQS worksheets for the corporate office.
- Track key dates and delays to assist with company performance metrics.
