As a Credentialing Specialist, you will be responsible for the full-cycle credentialing and privileging process for Department of Defense (DoD) candidates. This role requires a keen attention to detail, a strong sense of responsibility, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will act as the primary liaison between candidates, clients, and internal teams, ensuring that every stage of the credentialing process is completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Your expertise in government contracting credentialing will be instrumental in managing critical timelines, verifying credentials, and supporting candidates through the onboarding process. You will coordinate interviews, collect and verify documentation, and ensure that all regulatory, security, and occupational health standards are met. Your analytical skills and interpersonal abilities will be key in maintaining effective communication and fostering positive relationships throughout the credentialing lifecycle.

Credentialing Specialist - Summary- Manage the end-to-end credentialing and privileging process for DoD candidates
- Serve as primary liaison for candidates, clients, and internal teams
- Ensure regulatory compliance and documentation accuracy
- Support the mission of delivering quality care to service members, veterans, and their families
- Manage full-cycle credentialing and privileging for all DoD candidates and clients
- Maintain, monitor, and adhere to critical timelines throughout the credentialing process
- Conduct secondary interviews with privileged providers to clarify the privileging process
- Present candidates for personal service contract approvals
- Coordinate interviews between DoD sites and candidates
- Collect and perform primary source verification of credentials, education, licenses, and certifications
- Complete employment verifications and reference checks
- Gather and process security documents, coordinate fingerprint appointments, and facilitate eQIP submissions
- Review occupational health records and compile outstanding item lists
- Complete DoD employment verification forms
- Maintain client relations for periods ranging from 2 to 16 weeks during the credentialing and privileging process
- Provide ongoing support and engagement to candidates throughout the process
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and MQS worksheet standards for the corporate office
- Track dates, delays, and performance metrics to support company reporting
