Corporate Tax Manager (CPA) - Summary
- Lead and manage corporate tax engagements, including tax planning, compliance, and ASC 740 tax provision support.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop tax associates, seniors, and interns, ensuring high-quality performance and professional growth.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, responding to complex tax inquiries and offering consultative insights.
- Drive process improvements, identify tax savings opportunities, and expand service offerings for clients across various industries.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead client engagements from initial planning through execution, budget management, and final delivery, ensuring all projects meet quality and compliance standards.
- Supervise and mentor team members at all levels, providing performance feedback and guidance on tax projects.
- Review corporate tax returns and proactively identify opportunities for tax savings and process enhancements.
- Oversee ASC 740 income tax provision preparation and review, providing audit support as needed for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct in-depth research on complex tax issues, delivering actionable and strategic recommendations to clients.
- Respond promptly to federal, state, and local tax authority inquiries and ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
- Develop and sustain strong working relationships with clients by understanding their business operations, industry challenges, and objectives.
- Identify opportunities to expand current service offerings and coordinate cross-functional initiatives with other specialists within the firm.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on the latest tax laws and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Active CPA license or JD with an active law license.
- Extensive experience in corporate tax compliance and ASC 740 tax provision preparation, review, and audit support.
- Recent public accounting experience, ideally within a large, multi-state, national, or global company context.
- Demonstrated ability to work a hybrid schedule with a minimum of two days per week in-office or at client sites.
