Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of large batches of sauces and other food products according to established recipes and batch requirements.
- Operate commercial kettles and other industrial kitchen equipment under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
- Lift, move, and transport ingredient bags weighing up to 50 lbs using electric or manual pallet jacks in accordance with safety protocols.
- Ensure all ingredient bags are properly labeled and organized to maintain accurate tracking of batch components.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines during ingredient handling, cooking, and storage processes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the production area, including equipment, workstations, and storage spaces.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of production targets.
- Participate in on-the-job training to become proficient in commercial kitchen operations and equipment use.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers regarding production needs and potential challenges.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Basic knowledge of measurements and the ability to follow batch recipes; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Physical ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs safely and efficiently.
- Experience operating electric or manual pallet jacks is preferred; forklift experience is considered a plus.
- Interest in learning about large-scale cooking processes and commercial kitchen equipment.
- Attention to detail, especially regarding ingredient labeling and product tracking.
- Commitment to following all workplace safety, food safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Prior culinary training, experience in a professional kitchen, or experience as a sous chef is advantageous but not required.
