Construction Superintendent – Commercial Summary
- Lead and oversee all aspects of ground-up commercial construction projects.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day field activities to ensure project milestones and completion dates are achieved.
- Create and maintain short-interval look-ahead schedules to communicate and track project events.
- Implement and enforce project site safety plans, fostering a culture of safety and cleanliness.
- Coordinate all work to maintain orderliness and compliance with contract documents and industry best practices.
- Establish and monitor dimensional controls, utilizing third-party survey and layout personnel as needed.
- Verify proper installation and craftsmanship of all work on-site.
- Obtain required inspections and document quality aspects of physical work.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, legal requirements, and community standards.
- Administer client-specific programs, such as site rules, security, and safety regulations.
- Conduct and participate in pre-construction, progress, and staff meetings.
- Manage self-performed activities and track project budgets.
- Oversee changes in project scope and ensure the use of current documents to prevent rework.
- Administer contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders, ensuring compliance with scope and terms.
- Manage punch lists and the closeout process for timely project completion.
- Maintain daily paperwork, including timecards, field reports, schedule updates, and correspondence.
- Collaborate with supporting work groups, including client IS departments, vendors, and security.
- Assist with project proposals, estimate reviews, and participate in interviews and marketing efforts.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support company goals.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience in ground-up and tilt-up commercial construction projects.
- Tenant Improvement (TI) project experience required.
- Automobile dealership construction experience is a plus.
- AS degree in Construction Management or related field, or Journeyman status in a building trade with progressively responsible supervisory experience.
- Understanding of construction means, methods, and best practices in commercial and institutional building projects.
- Proficiency with construction management software, Microsoft Office, and scheduling tools.
- Current safety credentials, including OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certification.
