Construction Superintendent - SummaryThe Construction Superintendent is primarily responsible for on-site management of commercial construction projects, with a focus on plumbing, piping, and sheet metal systems. This role requires extensive technical knowledge and the ability to supervise teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards. The Construction Superintendent will collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives and maintain strong working relationships throughout the construction process.
Duties & Responsibilities- Supervise all field work related to commercial installations, ranging from basic to highly complex systems.
- Establish and enforce project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within company guidelines.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to facilitate smooth construction activities.
- Direct and manage field personnel to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budgetary constraints.
- Identify and address potential project risks or challenges, implementing corrective measures as necessary.
- Represent the company in project and strategy meetings, providing input and leadership as required.
- Oversee the quality of installed products and systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and specifications.
- Schedule and allocate manpower resources to optimize labor budgets and project timelines.
- Work collaboratively with project managers on all aspects of project execution.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned by company leadership or corporate executives.

- Minimum of 10 years of verifiable experience in plumbing, piping, or sheet metal trades.
- At least 5 years of proven supervisory experience in a construction environment.
- Strong working knowledge of plumbing blueprints, codes, and specifications.
- Understanding of other major trade blueprints and construction documentation.
- In-depth expertise in the installation methods of plumbing systems, including domestic water and medical gas.
- Expertise in piping and ductwork systems, including all relevant installation techniques.

- Ability to manage and supervise multiple foremen and construction teams.
- Skilled in project scheduling to ensure timely completion of deliverables and milestones.
- Demonstrated leadership in commercial construction projects, particularly in plumbing and mechanical trades.
