Construction Superintendent - Summary
- Lead all aspects of on-site construction activities for assigned projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all site activities and progress.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Interpret and implement contracts, purchase agreements, and project scopes in collaboration with the project manager.
- Establish and manage site logistics, including access, temporary roads, fencing, and services.
- Conduct pre-construction surveys and record critical site and building elevations.
- Arrange for temporary utilities, primary surveying, and horizontal control to support project execution.
- Lead pre-construction and weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors, owners, architects, and consultants.
- Determine construction methods, manpower requirements, material needs, equipment, and temporary power sources; document and monitor actual hours worked.
- Supervise and mentor company employees assigned to the project site.
- Schedule and coordinate necessary equipment for efficient project progress.
- Resolve construction-related challenges, productivity issues, and work interface problems.
- Oversee daily work documentation, ensure proper completion of required paperwork, and submit reports promptly.
- Monitor and review submittal logs and shop drawings for compliance and accuracy.
- Evaluate construction documents for completeness, constructibility, and clarity.
- Work collaboratively with the design team to resolve discrepancies and ensure project alignment.
- Assist project management in developing and maintaining the master project schedule.
- Develop and implement comprehensive site logistics plans.
- Maintain a safe work environment for all personnel and ensure overall project quality.
- Manage general project budgets and oversee cost controls to maintain financial discipline.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of four years of construction supervision and/or craft supervision experience in facility construction projects, preferably within school district environments.

- Proficiency in managing craft agreements, jurisdictional matters, and negotiations.

- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
