Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily field activities to ensure adherence to project schedules and milestone dates, providing continuous supervision for all tasks.
- Develop and maintain short-interval project schedules, proactively communicate upcoming events, and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Implement and enforce the project site safety plan, fostering a culture of health, cleanliness, and safety compliance.
- Coordinate construction activities to ensure orderly progress and compliance with contract documents and industry best practices.
- Establish and control all project dimensions, including working with third-party survey and layout teams as needed.
- Verify proper installation of all work to meet quality and workmanship standards (e.g., plumb, level, and straight).
- Coordinate and obtain necessary inspections, ensuring all quality requirements are met and documented appropriately.
- Ensure all project activities comply with contract terms and applicable legal regulations for the Spokane region.
- Administer client-specific programs, such as safety rules, site regulations, and security protocols.
- Organize and participate in pre-construction, progress, and staff meetings.
- Oversee self-performed work to maintain budget adherence and project efficiency.
- Manage scope changes, ensuring current documentation is used to avoid rework and maintain project integrity.
- Administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and other agreements, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions.
- Oversee punch lists and the project closeout process to ensure timely and thorough project completion.
- Maintain daily paperwork, including timecards, field reports, schedule updates, and correspondence.
- Collaborate with supporting work groups, such as client IT departments, vendors, and security personnel.
- Assist with project proposals, estimate reviews, proposal creation, and participate in interviews when required.
- Contribute to marketing and project acquisition efforts as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support company goals.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing tilt-up and ground-up commercial construction projects is required.
- Associate's degree in Construction Management or a related field, or Journeyman status in a building trade from an accredited organization, with progressive supervisory experience in construction.
- Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and best practices related to commercial and institutional building projects.
- Proficiency with construction software, including spreadsheets, scheduling tools, Microsoft Office, and email platforms.
- Current safety certifications, including OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR, are required.
