Construction Superintendent - Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team for ground-up commercial construction projects. This key role is responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget, with a particular focus on tilt-up and tenant improvement (TI) projects. As a Construction Superintendent, you will be the on-site leader, coordinating all aspects of the construction process, ensuring compliance with contract documents, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. As a Construction Superintendent, you will oversee day-to-day field activities, supervise subcontractors and field personnel, and ensure all work aligns with project milestones. Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage daily field operations to ensure timely project completion and adherence to schedules.
- Create and update short-interval look-ahead schedules to proactively address upcoming project events.
- Implement and maintain site-specific safety plans, promoting a culture of health, safety, and cleanliness.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and self-performed work to industry standards and contractual obligations.
- Establish and maintain accurate dimensional controls utilizing third-party surveyors as needed.
- Ensure all work is installed with a high standard of craftsmanship and quality control.
- Facilitate inspections and document quality aspects of completed work.
- Maintain full compliance with all contract terms, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
- Administer client-specific programs, including site rules, safety, and security protocols.
- Conduct and participate in pre-construction, progress, and project meetings.
- Monitor self-performed activities to ensure adherence to project budgets.
- Manage project scope changes to prevent rework and ensure use of current documents.
- Administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and agreements, ensuring all terms are met.
- Manage the punch list and project closeout process to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain daily documentation, including timecards, field reports, schedule updates, and correspondence.
- Interact professionally with clients, vendors, and work groups to support project success.
- Assist with project proposals, review estimates, and participate in interviews as needed.
- Engage in marketing efforts and support business development objectives.
- Perform additional duties as required to support company goals.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Prior experience managing tilt-up and ground-up commercial construction projects is required.
- Proven experience with tenant improvement (TI) construction projects.
- Experience with automobile dealership construction is preferred.
- Associate's degree in Construction Management or a related field, or Journeyman status in a building trade from an accredited organization, with progressive construction supervision experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, especially in commercial and institutional building environments.
- Proficiency with industry software, including Microsoft Office, scheduling tools, and email correspondence.
- Current safety credentials, including OSHA 30-hour certification, First Aid, and CPR.
