Construction Superintendent - SummaryThe Construction Superintendent is responsible for managing onsite project execution, including supervision of field personnel, coordination of subcontractor activities, and direct communication with all project stakeholders. Duties & Responsibilities- Direct and oversee all jobsite operations from project initiation to completion.
- Supervise and coordinate self-performed labor crews and subcontractors.
- Ensure work aligns with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Maintain regular communication with job foremen and craft personnel to achieve productivity goals.
- Schedule and oversee subcontractor work to meet project deadlines.
- Lead weekly subcontractor meetings to address performance, safety, and quality issues.
- Foster clear communication between project managers, teams, and stakeholders regarding project status, schedule changes, and issues.
- Develop and implement strategies to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
- Monitor field productivity and track progress for self-performed work.
- Review and respond to RFIs, address delays, and resolve issues impacting project delivery.
- Uphold safety standards and ensure jobsite compliance with regulations.
- Monitor and verify project quality to ensure compliance with specifications and industry benchmarks.
- Implement jobsite procedures and guidelines for efficient operations.
- Maintain professional relationships with owners, public entities, and all project stakeholders.
- Support project closeout activities and participate in final meetings prior to completion.

- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent with a commercial general contractor.
- Proven experience coordinating and scheduling subcontractors on active construction projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple trades and jobsite operations simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to effectively manage large field teams.
- Ability to work onsite at active construction projects, including job trailers and construction sites with typical construction noise and activity.
- Previous experience in industrial, big-box, tilt-up, office, education, retail, aviation, medical, multi-family, federal/municipal, hospitality, sports & recreation, parking structure, or tenant improvement/renovation projects.
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of self-perform concrete work.
