Construction Superintendent - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and direct all job site activities throughout all phases of the project.
- Supervise field operations, including self-performed labor crews and subcontractor activities, ensuring work is performed according to project specifications and schedules.
- Maintain daily communication with job foremen and craft personnel to ensure expected production and resolve any field issues.
- Schedule, coordinate, and oversee subcontractor work to align with overall project timelines.
- Conduct weekly subcontractor meetings focusing on schedule performance, safety compliance, and quality control.
- Develop and implement strategies to keep projects on or ahead of schedule and within budget constraints.
- Monitor field productivity and track production for any self-performed work.
- Review Requests for Information (RFIs), status updates, delays, and additional work requirements that may impact project progress.
- Maintain consistent communication with Project Managers regarding project issues, schedule changes, or delays.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure alignment between field operations and project management activities.
- Assist with project closeout preparation and participate in closeout meetings prior to completion.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and jobsite regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor project quality to ensure work meets all specifications and industry standards.
- Implement established procedures and guidelines required for jobsite operations.
- Communicate with stakeholders, including owners and public entities, when required, and represent the project team’s interests professionally.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent with a Commercial General Contractor.
- Strong experience in coordinating and scheduling subcontractors on active construction sites.
- Proven ability to manage multiple trades and jobsite operations simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage large field teams.
- Ability to work onsite at active construction projects, including job trailers and construction sites with typical construction noise and activity.
- Preferred experience with industrial, big-box, tilt-up, office, education, retail, aviation, medical, multi-family, federal/municipal, hospitality, sports & recreation, parking structures, or tenant improvement/renovation projects.
- Experience with construction management software such as Procore is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of self-perform concrete work is a plus.
