Our client, a respected general contractor specializing in commercial and residential projects, is seeking a dedicated Construction Superintendent to manage Tenant Improvement (TI) and Ground-Up initiatives. The Construction Superintendent will function as the on-site leader, coordinating teams, managing schedules, enforcing safety protocols, and maintaining rigorous quality controls. As a Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for facilitating seamless communication between project managers, architects, clients, and subcontractors. You will ensure that all on-site activities are executed efficiently and that every stakeholder is informed and aligned with project goals. Your ability to proactively anticipate challenges and implement solutions will be critical to the successful delivery of each project.
Construction Superintendent - Summary- Lead on-site construction operations for commercial Tenant Improvement and Ground-Up projects.
- Coordinate the daily activities of crews and subcontractors, ensuring strict adherence to project plans and schedules.
- Uphold the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction throughout every phase of construction.
- Foster strong relationships with project stakeholders through clear communication and effective team leadership.
- Direct all on-site operations, including planning, workflow sequencing, and crew/subcontractor management for both Tenant Improvement and Ground-Up projects.
- Implement and enforce comprehensive safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
- Monitor and manage project schedules, identify critical path activities, and resolve scheduling conflicts to keep projects on track.
- Oversee quality control procedures by inspecting work, verifying contract compliance, and maintaining company standards from start to punch list and project turnover.
- Coordinate with project managers, estimators, architects, clients, and subcontractors through regular site meetings and timely field reporting.
- Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports, RFIs, submittals, change orders, logs, and as-built records, with a preference for experience in Procore or similar platforms.
- Monitor field costs by tracking labor, materials, and subcontractor performance, identifying potential budget risks and escalating as needed.
- Lead the final turnover process, coordinating commissioning, inspections, and closeout documentation to ensure smooth client handover.

- At least 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent managing commercial construction projects, including Tenant Improvements and Ground-Up builds.
- Strong technical skills with the ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and details.
- Proficiency in construction scheduling and cost tracking, with experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors.
- OSHA 30 certification or equivalent preferred; valid driver’s license required; First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with construction management software (Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam) and standard office software (MS Office).
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills, with a professional client-facing demeanor.
- Ability to work on active construction sites, including climbing, walking, and lifting as needed, with flexibility to adjust schedules for project milestones.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred. Formal craft/journeyman background is a plus.
- Experienced leader with a proven track record managing commercial construction projects from start to finish.
