Construction Superintendent - Summary
- Lead daily on-site construction activities to ensure project milestones and schedules are met.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day field operations, supervising all work and personnel to keep the project on schedule.
- Create and maintain short-interval and overall project schedules, proactively addressing potential issues.
- Develop and enforce site-specific safety plans, fostering a safe working environment for all team members.
- Ensure all construction activities align with contract standards and industry best practices.
- Coordinate third-party survey and layout personnel to maintain dimensional controls.
- Verify quality of workmanship for all installed materials and systems.
- Obtain required inspections and ensure comprehensive documentation of project milestones.
- Ensure project compliance with all relevant legal, contractual, and community requirements.
- Administer client, landlord, and site-specific programs such as rules, safety, and security protocols.
- Lead and participate in pre-construction, progress, and project meetings.
- Oversee self-performed work to maintain alignment with established project budgets.
- Manage project scope changes and keep project documentation current to avoid rework.
- Administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and agreements with attention to compliance and proactive management.
- Manage punch lists and the project closeout process to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain daily project records, including timecards, field reports, and schedule updates.
- Foster positive interactions with clients, vendors, and internal support teams.
- Assist in project proposals, estimate reviews, and participate in project interviews as needed.
- Contribute to marketing efforts and the pursuit of new projects.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate degree in Construction Management or equivalent, or Journeyman status in a building trade from an accredited organization.
- Proven experience in progressively responsible construction supervision roles.
- Demonstrated understanding of commercial and institutional construction methods, including site work.
- Proficient in spreadsheets, scheduling software, Microsoft Office, and industry-specific technology.
- Current safety certifications, including OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR.
