Construction Superintendent - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily jobsite operations to achieve established project milestones and completion dates.
- Develop and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules, proactively addressing issues to avoid delays.
- Implement and manage a comprehensive site safety program, promoting cleanliness, accountability, and compliance with safety protocols.
- Ensure all work meets contract documents, prevailing building codes, and industry best practices.
- Coordinate activities of subcontractors, conduct inspections, and verify that all work meets quality standards for accuracy and precision.
- Lead and document field meetings, including pre-construction, progress, and coordination sessions, ensuring that all parties are aligned.
- Administer contracts, change orders, purchase orders, and related agreements to ensure all work remains within scope and compliant with requirements.
- Manage scope changes and ensure the use of the most current plans and specifications to minimize the need for rework.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation, including daily reports, field logs, timecards, and requests for information (RFIs).
- Oversee the punch list process and project closeout to ensure a successful, timely project turnover.
- Work closely with project managers, estimators, clients, and trade partners to maintain alignment on project goals and resolve issues collaboratively.
- Support business development by contributing to proposals, schedules, and client presentations as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience supervising ground-up commercial construction projects, with tilt-up construction experience strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in Tenant Improvement (TI) projects is required.
- Associate degree in Construction Management or a related field, or journeyman-level trade background with progressive supervisory experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction means, methods, sequencing, and logistics relevant to commercial and institutional projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and construction management tools.
- Current OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications are mandatory.
