Construction Scheduler (Primavera P6) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Report directly to senior leadership, delivering high-level schedule reporting that aligns with key program milestones and executive requirements.
- Support and supervise project schedulers, maintaining consistency, accuracy, and adherence to program standards.
- Facilitate schedule coordination and issue resolution by interfacing with OARs (Owner's Authorized Representatives), senior project managers, and field teams.
- Review and analyze Primavera P6 baseline schedules, ensuring comprehensive scope, logic, milestones, and cost loading.
- Evaluate monthly schedule updates to identify critical path impacts, milestone delays, and project performance trends.
- Produce detailed schedule review comments in line with owner-driven templates and reporting standards.
- Perform advanced Time Impact Analysis (TIA) using methodologies such as Windows Analysis for both contemporaneous and forensic schedule evaluations.
- Interpret construction drawings and contract documents to assess scope alignment and determine entitlement to time extensions.
- Develop, maintain, and update program-level and master schedules for multiple concurrent projects.
- Perform regular status updates to program schedules, ensuring accuracy and consistency of scheduling data.
- Establish and enforce standardized coding structures, layouts, and reporting formats for schedule data integrity.
- Identify schedule risks, delays, and inefficiencies, and recommend mitigation and recovery strategies.
- Prepare executive-level reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for senior management.
- Participate in project meetings and conduct site visits to validate schedule progress against field conditions.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of full-time professional experience in construction scheduling.
- Experience working for an owner or general contractor, preferably on public sector or educational facility projects.
- Demonstrated ability to support large-scale capital programs with multiple concurrent projects (preference for experience with LAUSD or similar districts).
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (latest versions) and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field. Candidates with degrees in other disciplines may qualify with additional relevant scheduling experience.
- Strong technical expertise in Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and analysis, cost and resource loading within Primavera P6, Earned Value Analysis (EVA), performance tracking, schedule forensics, delay analysis, Time Impact Analysis (TIA), and contract interpretation related to schedule entitlement and claims.
- Preferred experience with LAUSD Facilities Services Division or similarly structured public agencies, familiarity with owner-mandated schedule review templates, reporting standards, approval workflows, program-level scheduling, Design-Build delivery methods, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and integrated project controls.
