Key Responsibilities
- Supervise multiple job sites, managing all aspects of projects throughout pre-construction, construction, closeout, and post-construction phases.
- Develop and execute detailed project work plans, adapting to shifting requirements as needed.
- Identify and allocate resources to ensure optimal project performance and timely delivery.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring that all project activities remain on track and within scope.
- Lead project estimating and pricing efforts, developing accurate and comprehensive estimates and managing change pricing as necessary.
- Review project deliverables to ensure quality before submission to clients.
- Implement organizational methodologies and project standards, maintaining strict adherence throughout project lifecycles.
- Conduct engagement reviews and enforce quality assurance protocols for each project phase.
- Maintain complete and current project documentation, ensuring all information is appropriately stored and accessible.
- Develop cost-effective project schedules, optimizing resource utilization and logical sequencing of tasks.
- Select and coordinate subcontractor activities, ensuring smooth execution across all project stages.
- Oversee trade contractors, reviewing architectural and engineering drawings for compliance with specifications and regulations.
- Administer construction contracts and secure necessary permits and licenses for project execution.
- Supervise Project Engineers, reviewing their reports and addressing any safety or performance concerns promptly.
- Identify potential project risks, disputes, and claims, implementing strategies to mitigate these issues.
- Monitor project progress against schedules and profitability forecasts, conducting regular status meetings to ensure alignment.
- Manage project accounting, including budgeting, expense tracking, and risk minimization.
- Enforce adherence to budgetary guidelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Communicate project progress and modifications to owners and architects as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Construction Science is required.
- At least five years of experience in supervising or assisting with construction projects of increasing complexity.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple activities and groups effectively, even under pressure.
- Proven experience in developing accurate project estimates and managing pricing reports.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
