We are seeking a dedicated Construction Project Manager (PM) to join our team on a full-time basis in San Francisco, CA. As a Construction Project Manager (PM), you will oversee the day-to-day management of various large-scale projects, ensuring that all tasks, timelines, and resources are aligned to achieve project goals. Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of contract administration, including managing change orders, procurement, scheduling, and financial reporting for construction projects.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of company contracts and ensure clear communication among all parties involved in each project.
- Secure all necessary permits and verify insurance coverage for subcontractors to ensure compliance and safety.
- Facilitate project meetings to coordinate work activities effectively among team members and stakeholders.
- Provide leadership, training, and development opportunities to project team members, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
- Prepare and submit detailed monthly job status reports, highlighting project priorities, progress, and any issues encountered.
- Oversee project close-out activities, including the turnover of manuals and warranties, and preparation of final payment documents for subcontractors.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with owners, engineering, and design firm counterparts.
- Establish project deadlines and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of all project phases.
- Promote and enforce a culture of safety on all project sites, ensuring adherence to company and regulatory standards.
- Participate in company initiatives to acquire new work by contributing to proposals and presentations.
- Provide leadership that fosters an inclusive and diverse work environment for all team members and stakeholders.
- Actively identify and develop relationships with industry professionals to generate opportunities and secure new projects.
- Play an active role in recruiting, hiring, and retaining top talent within the construction industry, building high-performing teams.
- Strive to exceed stakeholder expectations by anticipating their needs and providing exceptional service and project outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, civil engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of construction experience, preferably working with a general contractor on large-scale projects.
- At least 2 years of experience leading, developing, and motivating project teams.
- Strong understanding of the strategic, operational, and financial aspects of construction project management.
- Demonstrated ability to make timely and effective decisions to drive project success.
- Proven track record of managing projects from inception through completion.
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills with owners and trade contractors.
- Strong work ethic, leadership capabilities, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Alignment with standards of excellence, including being results-oriented, adaptable, ethical, innovative, resilient, and a team player.
Preferred Qualifications
- DBIA (Design-Build Institute of America) and/or LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accreditation.
