Construction Project Manager – Life Sciences Summary
- Lead and manage complex commercial construction projects in the life sciences and biotech sectors
- Oversee all aspects of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution

Duties & Responsibilities
- Support and build high-performing project teams
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules
- Review project drawings, specifications, and related documentation
- Coordinate with project development teams on architecture, interior design, and construction specifications
- Develop and review construction estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts
- Conduct project kick-off meetings and ongoing performance reviews with stakeholders
- Source and coordinate materials and resources with suppliers
- Monitor expenditures, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed
- Ensure timely, efficient completion of projects in collaboration with the production team
- Make critical decisions regarding project cost, timelines, methods, and performance metrics
- Administer contracts, track job costs, manage billing and change orders, handle claims, and oversee job closeout
- Participate in regular project management meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Building Construction Management or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing commercial construction projects
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the life sciences sector
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
- Experience with projects in technology, biotech, or healthcare environments
- Strong knowledge of building codes and general construction methods
- Proficiency in contract review, scope of work development, and estimating software
- Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, estimating tools)
- Experience working with accounting teams to produce accurate operational reports
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and people management skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management abilities
