Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage ground-up commercial construction projects from planning through completion.
- Act as the primary liaison for clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Develop, monitor, and update project budgets, schedules, and financial reports.
- Review and administer project contracts, scopes of work, and procurement activities.
- Oversee all project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and closeout packages.
- Collaborate with Superintendents and field teams to maintain safety, schedule, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular project meetings and provide updates to leadership and clients.
- Identify and resolve issues related to scheduling, costs, labor, or design conflicts.
- Manage subcontractor performance and vendor relationships, ensuring contract compliance.
- Ensure adherence to company safety standards and local building codes and regulations.
- Participate in project buyout, value engineering, and preconstruction planning as needed.
- Foster strong, ongoing client relationships and encourage repeat business.
- Mentor and support junior team members, such as Assistant Project Managers.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager with a commercial general contractor.
- Proven success overseeing ground-up commercial construction projects from inception to completion.
- Experience with projects in sectors such as finance, healthcare, education, or similar commercial developments preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and sequencing.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial controls, and forecasting.
- Experience with subcontractor buyout, contract negotiations, and procurement.
- Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Excel.
- Ability to interpret and coordinate construction drawings and technical documents.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of local building codes, permitting processes, and construction market conditions is a plus.
- Industry certifications such as OSHA, PMP, LEED, or CCM are advantageous.
- Ability to travel as needed to various project sites.
