Construction Project Manager - Summary
- Lead commercial construction projects through all phases, from pre-construction planning to project closeout.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring expectations are clearly defined and met.
- Oversee budgeting, cost control, contract administration, and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and coordinate project teams, including architects, subcontractors, and field personnel.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules (including CPM schedules), and contracts.
- Lead the preparation and review of cost proposals, change orders, and owner billings.
- Oversee project document control, ensuring all documentation is current and properly maintained.
- Maintain strong relationships and regular communication with clients, architects, designers, and subcontractors.
- Supervise project accounting functions, including approving subcontractor progress payments.
- Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment, monitor project timelines, and ensure timely completion.
- Manage submittal processes, Requests for Information (RFIs), and compliance with project documentation requirements.
- Oversee subcontractor coordination, field personnel, and quality management throughout the lifecycle of the project.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience managing commercial and/or public works construction projects, either multiple smaller projects or single large/complex projects.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction science, or related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of current construction methods, materials, and relevant building codes and regulations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage pressure and coordinate multiple activities and stakeholders effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project or equivalent scheduling software.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history.
