Construction Project Manager - Summary
- Lead and oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with client requirements and company standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the project team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage client expectations and maintain open, effective communication throughout the project.
- Provide leadership and supervision to project teams, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Prepare and manage cost proposals, change orders, and project budgets.
- Oversee buy-out and contracting of work, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Handle project accounting, including owner billings and subcontractor payment approvals.
- Manage project submittals, RFIs, and other documentation requirements.
- Develop and manage Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules for project timelines.
- Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment, and monitor subcontractor performance.
- Work closely with architects, designers, owners, and field personnel to ensure project goals are met.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience managing multiple commercial and/or public works construction projects, or a single large complex project.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction science, or a related field preferred.
- Thorough understanding of current construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate with diverse teams for project efficiency.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project scheduling software such as MS Project.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history.
Ideal Candidate Snapshot
- Previous experience with school bond program projects (e.g., SDUSD, LAUSD) is highly regarded.
- Familiarity with Procore project management software is advantageous.
- Experience in higher education or healthcare construction sectors is a plus.
