Construction Project Manager - Summary
- Lead and manage construction projects from inception to completion, with a primary focus on educational and public works facilities
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives, budgets, and timelines are met

Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage client expectations throughout all phases of the construction project
- Provide leadership and supervision to project teams
- Maintain comprehensive project document control and ensure documentation is current and accurate
- Prepare and manage cost proposals and change orders efficiently
- Develop project budgets and oversee buy-out and contracting processes
- Handle project accounting, including owner billing and review/approval of subcontractor progress payments
- Maintain strict control over project budgets and costs from start to finish
- Oversee submittal, RFI, and other key project documentation requirements
- Develop and manage project schedules utilizing CPM scheduling methods
- Coordinate subcontractors, including procurement of materials, managing costs, and processing billings
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination among architects, designers, owners, subcontractors, and field personnel

Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience managing multiple commercial or public works construction projects, or a single complex project
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction science, or a related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of current construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Ability to coordinate multiple activities and teams to achieve project efficiency
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project scheduling software (such as MS Project)
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history
Ideal Candidate Snapshot
- Previous experience working on school bond program projects (e.g., SDUSD, LAUSD)
- Familiarity with Procore project management software
- Experience in higher education or healthcare construction projects
- Detail-oriented, systems-driven, and eager to learn and support team members
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while maintaining a positive, proactive approach
