Working closely with both field and office teams, the Construction Project Manager is accountable for the seamless delivery of projects ranging from $5 million to $25 million in value. These projects include large-box retail stores, automotive facilities, restaurants, and various light industrial developments. The role is designed for an experienced professional who is adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously and is comfortable navigating the complexities of commercial construction. As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for directing all phases of project delivery—from initial estimating to final closeout. Construction Project Manager - Summary
- Oversee full-cycle delivery of commercial construction projects valued between $5M and $25M.
- Lead project teams in commercial builds such as retail, restaurant, automotive, and light industrial facilities.
- Coordinate between field teams and office operations for seamless project execution.
- Ensure project performance, documentation accuracy, and successful delivery.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor management.
- Develop and manage project estimates and oversee subcontractor buyout and scope review processes.
- Administer contracts, insurance requirements, and compliance documentation.
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications to guide project execution.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, billing, and cost tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with milestones and delivery targets.
- Coordinate closely with superintendents and field teams for on-site execution.
- Conduct and lead subcontractor meetings to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and deliverables.
- Utilize project management systems, such as Procore, for documentation, communication, and reporting.
- Oversee project financial performance, including forecasting, cost control, and reporting.
- Mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers to support their development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure timely reporting and proactive communication across all stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction.
- Strong background in retail and/or light industrial construction is preferred.
- Experience managing multiple projects across different stages simultaneously.
- Proficiency in scheduling tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management platforms (Procore preferred).
- Deep understanding of construction means and methods, contract administration, and project financials.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and drive projects to successful completion.
