The Construction Project Manager plays a critical leadership role in overseeing complex construction initiatives within the education and facilities sector. This full-time position is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities are executed in compliance with organizational, district, and program policies. Construction Project Manager - Summary
- Lead and manage large-scale construction projects, with a primary focus on educational and public facility environments.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Resolve complex construction-related issues, disputes, and disagreements to maintain project momentum.
- Develop, assign, and oversee the performance of Owner’s Authorized Representatives (OARs) for assigned projects.
- Monitor project progress and status relative to approved construction schedules, identifying and addressing variances promptly.
- Review and analyze change orders and their potential impacts on the district and project deliverables.
- Assist in bid and contract planning, working closely with regional and facilities management.
- Evaluate bid specifications for compliance and feasibility within established timelines.
- Maintain accurate project databases, ensuring up-to-date scheduling and cost control reporting.
- Review and verify payment applications, providing comprehensive fiscal management across multiple projects.
- Offer functional leadership in project scheduling, cost control, contract administration, and quality assurance.
- Oversee contract administration for architects and consulting partners.
- Coordinate project activities with other branches, such as Environmental Health and Safety, Asset Management, and Facilities Contract Administration.
- Participate in risk assessment and mitigation discussions to identify and address potential project impacts.
- Develop and recommend internal policies to optimize project delivery and compliance.
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive salary in the range of $180,000 to $190,000 per year.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential by the Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI) can substitute for required education.
- Minimum of 15 years full-time, paid professional experience in project or construction management.
- At least 5 years managing large-scale projects with construction values exceeding $60 million.
- 5 years of experience in educational facility construction, public works, or large commercial projects.
- Preferred: Experience or education in business administration, public relations, accounting, finance, personnel management, and communication.
- Preferred: Experience with Design-Build delivery, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and LEED/CHPS certified projects.
- Preferred: Familiarity with the Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes.
- Preferred licenses: Valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect or Professional Engineer.
