Construction Foreman - Summary
- Lead and supervise construction crews to achieve project objectives
- Oversee all aspects of safety, quality, and production on site
- Operate and maintain a variety of heavy equipment
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and MSHA regulations
- Maintain accurate records and reports for daily operations
Duties & Responsibilities
- Guide and direct all crew activities according to project plans and schedules
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with legislation and company policies
- Implement management and engineering instructions on-site
- Read and interpret engineered plans; conduct site staking and layout
- Setup and use GPS base stations and GPS-guided equipment
- Lead job safety analysis (JSA), toolbox talks, and other required safety training and communication
- Communicate production challenges and work with management to resolve constraints
- Secure and store equipment properly and participate in routine and preventative maintenance
- Complete daily fuel, load count, hour logs, and workplace examinations
- Maintain credit card receipts, code expenses correctly, and submit weekly reports
- Maintain a professional appearance and company vehicle in accordance with standards
- Keep the job site clean, prepared for inclement weather, and ensure it stays on schedule
- Maintain erosion control devices and report any deficiencies
- Lead the crew in daily activities and perform minor emergency equipment repairs as needed

Qualifications & Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment operation, maintenance, and safety
- Familiarity with site preparation, surveying, and construction techniques
- Ability to operate front end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, and related equipment
- Understanding of equipment cleaning standards and procedures
- Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures
- Valid driver's license with fewer than three moving violations in the past three years
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol screenings
- Physical ability to lift at least 40 lbs
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
