Responsibilities- Oversee all phases of the estimation process for commercial construction projects, ensuring accuracy from start to finish.
- Review and analyze project plans, blueprints, and specifications to develop precise and comprehensive cost estimates.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to collect relevant data for bid preparation.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and maximize project value.
- Monitor and manage project costs throughout the construction phase, ensuring alignment with established budget constraints.
- Provide informed guidance on pricing strategies and identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project outcomes.
- Conduct thorough reviews of contracts to confirm accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Perform local travel as necessary to project sites and supplier meetings.
- Demonstrated experience in construction estimating, cost control, and project management, preferably in commercial settings.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with an ability to interpret complex construction documents.
- Experience in painting or waterproofing is advantageous, though not required.
