Construction Estimator and Project Manager - Summary
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project estimation and management from project kickoff through final delivery.
- Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Prepare detailed bids for varied project types, including multi-family and commercial buildings.
- Utilize advanced construction management software to streamline project tracking and documentation.
- Ensure all work adheres to company, industry, and regulatory standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate with general contractors and architects throughout all project phases.
- Prepare comprehensive bids for projects ranging from single-family homes to large commercial and multi-family structures.
- Conduct detailed takeoffs for lumber, hardware, and other building materials, ensuring precise material management.
- Develop material lists organized by building level or construction phase to optimize the work schedule and resource allocation.
- Create cut sheets, including stud heights and cut lists, to facilitate framing and mass timber erection processes.
- Review, interpret, and implement construction plans, specifications, and contracts to maintain project accuracy.
- Manage subcontractor performance, scheduling, and compliance with safety standards.
- Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues to maintain timelines and budget requirements.
- Communicate regularly with all stakeholders to provide updates and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to strategic planning and risk management.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in construction management, project coordination, and framing estimation, preferably for commercial and multi-family projects.
- Proficient with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or PlanGrid.
- Demonstrated organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts accurately.
- Experience preparing material takeoffs and comprehensive material lists.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and construction scheduling.
- Broad knowledge of construction trades, with emphasis on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Strong independent work ethic and ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Familiarity with CAD and preparation of shop drawings is an asset.
