This full-time position is ideal for an accounting professional experienced in the construction industry, handling both accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions. As a Construction Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining organized financial operations, supporting project teams, and ensuring that company projects are financially successful from beginning to end.

Construction Accountant - Summary
- Full-time position focused on construction industry accounting, specializing in accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), job costing, and billing.
- Work closely with project managers, accounting, and operations to maintain financial accuracy for all projects.
- Contribute to a culture of integrity, teamwork, and professional development at Quality Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Process vendor and subcontractor invoices with accuracy and timeliness.
- Generate and issue customer invoices, including progress billings and final invoices.
- Monitor accounts receivable and assist with collections as needed.
- Track job costs, purchase orders, change orders, and project retainage.
- Reconcile vendor statements, customer accounts, and company credit cards.
- Support project managers with job costing and financial reporting requirements.
- Maintain thorough and organized accounting records for all projects.
- Prepare financial reports and participate in month-end accounting processes.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide administrative support to accounting and operations teams as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable, preferably within the construction industry.
- Experience in construction accounting, job costing, retainage, progress billing, or AIA billing strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as ServiceTitan, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- High degree of integrity and professionalism is essential.
