Concrete Finisher - Summary
- Responsible for shaping, smoothing, and finishing concrete surfaces on commercial construction projects.
- Utilizes a variety of hand and power tools to perform concrete forming, finishing, and rebar installation.
- Reports to the Superintendent and collaborates with team members to ensure project success and safety compliance.
- Applies knowledge of mechanical systems, blueprint reading, and basic carpentry to deliver quality outcomes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare job sites by setting forms and completing necessary site prep work for concrete placement.
- Pour, spread, and level concrete using trowels, floats, screeds, rakes, and other specialized tools.
- Install and tie rebar to reinforce concrete structures as specified in project plans.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure proper dimensions and layout of concrete work.
- Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, texturing, and curing as required for each project.
- Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to all safety protocols on job sites.
- Collaborate with other team members and trades to meet project timelines and quality standards.
- Work in various conditions, including heights, enclosed spaces, and inclement weather.
- Perform additional related duties as needed to support project completion.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of commercial concrete finishing experience (walls, footings, flatwork).
- Proficiency in site preparation, form setting, cutting, and finishing to project specifications.
- Familiarity with trowels, floats, screeds, rakes, and other concrete tools (manual and powered).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Ownership of personal hand tools necessary for concrete finishing tasks.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including heights, enclosed spaces, and changing weather conditions.
- Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors, with overtime as needed.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
