Commissioning Engineer – Electrical Systems Summary
- Lead the commissioning and startup of electrical systems for mission-critical infrastructure projects.
- Oversee offsite commissioning activities at various vendor and integrator locations, ensuring each project phase meets organizational standards.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute commissioning activities for electrical infrastructure projects, ensuring all systems are tested and validated according to industry and client standards.
- Track, manage, and escalate project issues to relevant teams for timely resolution or proper handoff, minimizing project risks and delays.
- Coordinate with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), integrators, and field personnel to ensure all project components are aligned and ready for project handover.
- Lead program initiatives across multiple project sites, providing clear direction and accountability for all team members involved in the commissioning process.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation throughout the commissioning lifecycle, leveraging tools like CxAlloy to support compliance and reporting requirements.
- Ensure that all commissioning activities are conducted in accordance with QA/QC standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Extensive expertise in electrical systems, including UPS, STS, switchgear, distribution, and backup power solutions.
- Proven experience in commissioning, startup activities, factory acceptance testing (FAT), or similar roles within mission-critical infrastructure environments.
- Strong leadership abilities, with demonstrated success managing projects across multiple sites and leading teams that include non-direct reports.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and issue management skills, ensuring effective information flow and project transparency.
- Familiarity with commissioning documentation software such as CxAlloy, or similar platforms, is highly preferred.
- Experience coordinating with vendors, OEMs, and field teams to facilitate smooth project handovers and turnover processes.
