As a Commercial HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for managing service requests for commercial clients, responding promptly to maintenance and repair calls, and executing complex diagnostics on advanced systems such as cooling towers, pumps, rooftop units, split systems, and other commercial HVAC equipment. Your role will involve both hands-on fieldwork and the use of technical documentation such as wiring diagrams and blueprints, ensuring all work meets industry standards and complies with safety regulations.
Successful candidates will possess extensive experience with a range of commercial HVAC systems, including but not limited to RTUs (Rooftop Units), DX split systems, SCAV units, ductless splits, chillers, cooling towers, and water-source heat pumps. You will bring a proven record of service excellence and a commitment to continuous learning in the evolving HVAC industry. Your ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients is essential, as you will often serve as the face of the company in the field. Commercial HVAC Technician - Summary- Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of commercial HVAC systems.
- Interact directly with commercial clients to deliver high-quality service and solutions.

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions in HVAC systems.
- Install, replace, calibrate, and repair HVAC equipment and system controls, such as motors, compressors, coils, contactors, transformers, and thermostats.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints to execute accurate repairs and installations.
- Follow established safety procedures and company policies at all times.
- Perform preventive maintenance on a routine basis to ensure system reliability.
- Support field leadership and collaborate with other technicians as needed.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients and their employees.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC service preferred.
- Proficiency with RTUs, DX split systems, SCAV units, ductless splits, chillers, cooling towers, and water-source heat pumps.
- EPA Universal HVAC certification required.
- Clean driving record necessary for company vehicle use.
- Optional NYC FDNY Torch/Fire Watch certifications F-60 and G-60.
- Demonstrates advanced troubleshooting and repair skills in commercial HVAC systems.
- Possesses strong interpersonal and communication abilities to interact with clients professionally.
- Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to exceeding client expectations.
- Adaptable, resourceful, and eager to learn new technologies and techniques.
- Proven track record of reliability and punctuality in field service roles.
- On-call rotation is required approximately once every eight weeks, offering additional experience and earning potential.
