Commercial Construction Estimator - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Represent the company professionally and support strategic business initiatives
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Execute and uphold company policies, procedures, and a lean working culture
- Lead the preconstruction phase for large and complex projects
- Deliver accurate estimates from conceptual design through final construction documents
- Oversee and manage the estimating process, including solicitation of subcontractors and bid evaluation
- Prepare detailed bid packages and subcontractor scopes of work
- Participate in client presentations, RFP responses, and interviews
- Mentor and train junior estimators in all aspects of the preconstruction process
- Conduct value engineering and life-cycle costing for projects
- Collaborate with project managers on subcontract awards and document turnover
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies regarding workplace safety
- Consistently attend assigned locations as required for project and team needs

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Construction Management or with a General Contractor
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and estimating software
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of commercial construction standards, budgeting, and cost analysis
- Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, and planning abilities
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Successful completion of post-offer background and drug screenings
