Collections Specialist - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyze customer accounts to determine if service disconnection is required, following regulatory guidelines.
- Perform balance transfers for inactive and active accounts, ensuring all records are accurate.
- Review and monitor accounts subject to automatic disconnect processes for accuracy and compliance.
- Run reports in SAP-CCS and BW to support disconnect, reconnect, and ongoing monitoring processes.
- Communicate with management and distribution companies to resolve failed or rejected orders and transactions.
- Investigate aged accounts and system failures, identify root causes, and propose improvements to collection processes.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of business experience, or 6 months of collections experience with SAP/CCS experience (which may substitute for the 2-year requirement)
- Familiarity with the utility and/or deregulated energy industry
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred; equivalent experience or a high school diploma/GED accepted
- Strong analytical skills to review reports and accounts, determining necessary actions for timely collections and reconnections
