CNC Operator - Summary

- Program CNC machines by loading or writing code, typically using G-code, and conduct test runs to validate setup and accuracy.
- Monitor the machining process, making real-time adjustments to machine offsets, feeds, and speeds to maintain precise tolerances.
- Load and unload workpieces from machines with care and efficiency, ensuring minimal downtime between production cycles.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to inspect and verify the dimensions and quality of finished parts.
- Document inspection results and communicate any deviations or quality issues to supervisors for immediate resolution.
- Carry out routine preventative maintenance on CNC machinery, such as cleaning, lubricating, and minor repairs to reduce downtime.
