CNC Machinist - Summary- Responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills and lathes
- Works with conversational programming controls such as Prototrak
- Interprets blueprints and applies GD&T knowledge for accurate part fabrication
- Ensures compliance with established safety, quality, and housekeeping standards
- Collaborates with engineering, production, and quality departments to achieve project goals
- Independently program, set up, and operate CNC machining equipment, including mills and lathes
- Read and interpret complex blueprints and utilize GD&T symbols for precise machining
- Use precision measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and indicators, to inspect finished parts
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to company and regulatory safety standards
- Communicate effectively with team members to clarify part requirements and resolve machining challenges
- Adapt to changing job shop priorities while maintaining accuracy and product quality
- Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting as needed
- Support custom tooling or fixture work when required
- Supply and maintain personal machinist tools, including dial or digital calipers, micrometers up to 3", indicators, edge finders, 1-2-3 blocks, precision parallels, calculators, mallets, and adjustable wrenches
- Consistently wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all shop safety protocols
- Physically handle materials, tooling, and equipment safely, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

- Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience with mills and/or lathes
- Experience with Prototrak or similar conversational programming controls
- Demonstrated ability to program, set up, and operate CNC machines independently
- Strong blueprint reading skills and proficiency in GD&T interpretation
- Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools and inspection practices
- Experience working in a job shop or non-production machining environment
- Solid attention to detail, accuracy, and adaptability
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
- Preferred: Experience with SolidWorks and custom tooling or fixture work
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive manual tasks, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proven track record as a CNC Machinist in a fast-paced, custom job shop environment
