CNC Machinist - Summary- Responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC and manual machining equipment to manufacture precision parts.
- Ensures that all work meets quality, efficiency, and compliance standards as outlined by engineering drawings and specifications.
- Collaborates with engineering and production teams to optimize processes and deliver top-quality results.
- Program, set up, and operate CNC/Manual mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines to produce precision components according to specifications.
- Create and modify CNC/Manual programs using G-code and CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or Gibbs CAM.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD models to determine appropriate machining operations and tolerances.
- Apply manufacturing operating procedures (MOPs), rework processes, and acceptance criteria to all value streams.
- Select appropriate tooling, fixturing, and cutting parameters for optimal production outcomes.
- Conduct first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks using precision instruments like calipers, micrometers, CMM, and gauges.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues, minimizing downtime and maintaining production flow.
- Maintain machines, tooling, and the work area in a safe and clean condition to support operational efficiency and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, supervisors, and fellow machinists to continuously improve processes and workflow.
- Document setups, processes, and program revisions for future production and quality assurance.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC and manual machining, including setup and programming skills.
- Proficiency in G-code programming and common CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, Gibbs CAM).
- Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, feeds, and speeds.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) symbols.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments for quality assurance and process verification.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in a manufacturing environment.
- Technically skilled in both CNC and manual machining with a proven track record in programming and setup.
- Detail-oriented and quality-focused, with a commitment to maintaining high standards in every aspect of the production process.
