Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up and run CNC machines (mills and/or lathes) to produce parts according to engineering requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
- Perform CNC warmup procedures, basic preventative maintenance, and routine machine checks.
- Utilize measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and indicators for complex measurement verifications.
- Perform setups, create fixtures, and ensure tight tolerance holding for all machined components.
- Execute basic G-code programming and make adjustments as necessary for optimal machine performance.
- Conduct tapping, counterbores, countersinks, and reaming operations, as well as some deburring and preparation for inspections.
- Understand and account for thermal expansion and its effects on machining accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the machine shop environment.
- Perform manual machine operations as required to support production needs.
- Accept and respond positively to supervision and feedback regarding machine setups and operations.
- Follow all company policies, guidelines, and safety protocols to support organizational goals and values.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years operating CNC machines (mills and/or lathes) in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing specifications.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges is preferred.
- Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, or other aerospace quality systems is a plus.
- Experience with multi-axis machining operations is beneficial.
- Basic knowledge of G-code and machine programming.
- Ability to perform simple math calculations relevant to machining tasks.
