We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. This full-time opportunity is perfect for a motivated professional who excels in setting up and operating various CNC machines, including Mill Turn, Swiss, CNC Mill, and CNC Lathes. The ideal candidate will work independently with minimal supervision, efficiently following verbal directions from supervisors or leads. As a CNC Machinist, you will play a key role in ensuring superior quality production and contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.
The CNC Machinist position offers the chance to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will be responsible for completing machine setups, including 4th axis operations, and making precise adjustments to ensure all finished components meet stringent engineering specifications of +/-.0005. Your role will also involve inspecting first piece articles, reading and understanding CNC programs, and maintaining the highest standards of quality during production runs. Additionally, you will be expected to remove and replace worn cutting tools by re-grinding or substituting them as necessary to maintain drawing requirements.

CNC Machinist - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Setup and operate multiple CNC machines simultaneously, including 4th axis operations.
- Check parts during production to ensure quality standards are met.
- Train and assist other team members as required.
- Perform regular manual and machining tasks with a focus on quality.
- Adjust feed, speed, tool offsets, and CDC compensation as necessary to meet drawing requirements of +/-.0005.
- Inspect first piece articles and read/understand CNC programs.
- Remove and replace worn cutting tools, including re-grinding to meet specifications.
- Maintain productivity by ensuring output meets or exceeds expectations.
- Work overtime and travel as required by operational needs.
- Demonstrate professionalism and adaptability in all work situations.
- Fill in for area lead when necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience in setting up and operating Mill Turn, Swiss, CNC Mill, and CNC Lathes.
- Competence in 4th axis CNC operations and ability to work independently.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CNC programs.
- Demonstrated skill in adjusting machine parameters to achieve precise tolerances of +/-.0005.
- Experience in inspecting first article pieces and maintaining quality production output.
- Ability to replace, re-grind, and maintain cutting tools as per specifications.
- For internal applicants, a minimum of 12 months as a Level 5 Operator is necessary.
