CNC Machinist - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Produce machined wood parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines.
- Conduct test runs before initiating full-scale operations to ensure machine accuracy.
- Monitor CNC machines during production to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Inspect and measure finished products to confirm adherence to specifications.
- Perform routine inspections of machinery at the end of each shift for maintenance needs.
- Complete daily maintenance tasks to keep machines in optimal working condition.
- Maintain high standards of quality and workplace safety throughout all operations.
- Organize and clean the workspace to support an efficient manufacturing process.

Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of experience as a CNC Operator or CNC Machinist preferred.
- Strong verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Solid math and problem-solving abilities to interpret blueprints and troubleshoot issues.
- Experience with both highly technical machinery and hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specification sheets, templates, and technical documents.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Familiarity with both English and metric measuring systems and tools.
- Flexibility to work overtime and up to 10-hour shifts as needed.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, though not required.
