IDR is seeking a Cloud Security Architect to join one of our top clients for an on-site opportunity in Austin, Texas. This role focuses on designing and implementing secure cloud-native architectures within a dynamic technology environment, supporting modernization and cybersecurity initiatives.
Position Overview for the Cloud Security Architect:
- Lead the design and implementation of secure-by-default architectures across cloud-native, microservices, and AI-enabled systems.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal cybersecurity frameworks while supporting modernization efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into cloud solutions.
- Perform threat modeling and risk assessments for complex cloud environments.
- Secure microservices, APIs, and containerized environments, including integrating security into DevSecOps pipelines.
Requirements for the Cloud Security Architect:
- 8+ years of experience in information security and systems architecture
- Proven experience designing secure cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of Texas Cybersecurity Framework (TCF) and NIST 800-53
- Expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Zero Trust Architecture
- Experience performing threat modeling for complex systems
