Cloud Network Engineer - Summary
- Support the operation and maintenance of global cloud network infrastructure, including backbone routing, top-of-rack (TOR) switching, VPN services, and application delivery controllers.
- Assist with network operations across private and hybrid multi-cloud environments, utilizing AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to ensure minimal downtime and high availability of services.
- Participate in on-call rotation as part of the Network Operations Engineering team, providing 24/7 support as needed.
- Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and other teams to improve reliability, operational procedures, and documentation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor, support, and enhance backbone routing, TOR switching, VPN services, and application delivery controllers within a global cloud network.
- Engage in network operations across multi-cloud environments, including integration with major platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Diagnose and resolve network issues, including urgent operational events, to maintain continuous network performance and reliability.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, ensuring network operational support is available 24/7 as part of a collaborative team.
- Work closely with SRE and other technical teams to develop and maintain best practices, process improvements, and comprehensive documentation.
- Utilize automation and scripting for routine network tasks, leveraging tools such as Python, Bash, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code solutions like Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement and work with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk to support proactive incident response and performance analysis.

Qualifications & Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in network operations, infrastructure engineering, or a similar technical environment.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with networking technologies such as F5/NGINX and Cisco/Juniper devices, as well as core network protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, and VPN.
- Strong experience supporting cloud environments, with practical skills in AWS, Azure, or GCP, and proficiency in Linux systems administration.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting with languages and tools such as Python, Bash, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code frameworks like Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience utilizing monitoring and observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk) and participating in incident response processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
