In the role of Clinical Psychologist (PsyD, PhD), you will work within an integrated primary care environment, utilizing your expertise to conduct psychological evaluations, formulate diagnoses, and deliver evidence-based interventions. Clinical Psychologist (PsyD, PhD) - Summary
- Provide brief, evidence-based behavioral health interventions in an integrated primary care setting
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and formulate accurate diagnoses
- Collaborate with Primary Care Managers and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Contribute to the delivery of group services, educational workshops, and innovative care models
- Support the mental health and readiness of service members, veterans, and their families
Duties & Responsibilities
- Practice within the ethical guidelines and standards set forth by the American Psychological Association and applicable state licensing boards
- Conduct psychological assessments using interviews, testing, and collateral information
- Establish psychiatric diagnoses in accordance with the DSM
- Provide individual and group psychological treatment and assist patients in coping with illness or injury
- Support patient rehabilitation and recovery efforts
- Deliver consultation-based services to patients and primary care managers, integrating recommendations into comprehensive care plans
- Offer timely feedback to primary care physicians regarding assessment findings and treatment options
- Determine patient suitability for primary care-based behavioral health services and assist with treatment planning
- Develop behavioral health interventions and provide brief follow-up sessions, including relapse prevention education
- Create and facilitate educational classes aimed at promoting psychological and physical health
- Maintain concise and accurate documentation of patient care within 24 hours of each visit
- Participate in group medical appointments, including Shared Medical Appointments (SMA) and Drop-in Group Medical Appointments (DIGMA), as needed
- Offer clinical insight and technical direction for projects at the service site
- See an average caseload of 8-14 patients per day

Qualifications & Requirements
- Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited institution (PhD or PsyD)
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any U.S. state, territory, or district
- Successful completion of an APA-accredited internship in psychology
- One of the following: one-year fellowship/residency in health psychology or behavioral medicine; at least one year of relevant experience in the last four years; or two years of full-time clinical work within the past three years
- U.S. citizenship required
