Civil Designer (AutoCAD Civil 3D) – Full-time Job OverviewARC Group is seeking a talented Civil Designer (AutoCAD Civil 3D) to join a dynamic design team. This full-time opportunity involves working on-site on a variety of residential and commercial land development projects. As a Civil Designer (AutoCAD Civil 3D), you will play a critical role in shaping site layouts and infrastructure by producing detailed 3D models and technical drawings using industry-leading software. This position is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who excel in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- 3D Modeling: Develop detailed and accurate 3D models for land development projects utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D, ensuring compliance with project requirements and specifications.
- Technical Drawings: Produce comprehensive technical drawings and blueprints for residential and commercial developments, supporting every phase from concept to construction.
- Collaborative Design: Partner with engineers, architects, and fellow designers to refine design concepts and integrate feedback, fostering a productive team environment.
- Project Documentation: Maintain organized project documentation, ensuring all electronic and physical files meet industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough reviews of designs and drawings to confirm precision, completeness, and adherence to client and regulatory specifications.
- Design Revisions: Implement updates and modifications to designs based on input from project stakeholders and evolving requirements.
- Software Expertise: Remain current with the latest advancements in AutoCAD Civil 3D, adopting new features and best practices to enhance productivity and design quality.
- Effective Communication: Clearly present design ideas and project updates to clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders, supporting transparency and project alignment.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant land development design experience.
- Demonstrated experience designing residential subdivisions.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Ability to prepare detailed construction plans as an integral member of a design team.
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to high-quality output and team success.
- AutoCAD certification is highly desirable.
- Experience with additional design software and industry tools.
- Solid understanding of industry-specific design standards and regulatory requirements.
