The CIS Data Migration Lead plays a critical role in overseeing and executing large-scale data migration and archiving initiatives for Customer Information System (CIS) transformation projects. As a CIS Data Migration Lead, you will be at the forefront of next-generation utility technology implementations, leading efforts to ensure the seamless transition of data between legacy and new systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced IT professionals who excel in complex project leadership and data governance within dynamic, fast-paced environments.

In this key role, the CIS Data Migration Lead will be responsible for managing the entire Data Migration & Archiving workstream, including the coordination of data cleansing, data conversion, and archiving activities. You will develop and maintain comprehensive strategies for data migration, ensuring best practices are followed in data profiling, mapping, testing, and quality assurance. The role requires defining clear scopes for data conversion and archiving, managing dependencies, and overseeing the scheduling of mock cutovers and dress rehearsal activities to ensure readiness for production cutover.

As the CIS Data Migration Lead, you will lead validation cycles that encompass pre-load and post-load checks, defect management, and establishing load acceptance criteria to guarantee a high level of data integrity in the new system. You will play a pivotal role in assessing and managing the impact of data migration on edge systems, ensuring seamless integration across all relevant platforms in collaboration with technical and business stakeholders. Your leadership will be crucial in aligning cross-functional teams and ensuring that data migration activities support the overall objectives of the CIS transformation program.

To thrive as a CIS Data Migration Lead, you should possess a bachelor’s degree in Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or have equivalent professional experience. A minimum of seven years of progressive IT experience, particularly in technology delivery, transformation programs, or IT operations, is required, including at least three years in a leadership role. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing matrixed or cross-functional teams, exceptional knowledge of technology delivery lifecycles, and experience coordinating large-scale system implementations, testing, and data integration projects.
