Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist - Summary
- Full-time permanent assignment for a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist (MD/DO) specializing in psychiatric care for children and adolescents.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver individualized care for pediatric and adolescent patients facing a variety of mental health challenges.
- Based in OH, with opportunities for professional development and career advancement within an established healthcare organization.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing management for child and adolescent patients.
- Prescribe and monitor medications as appropriate for psychiatric conditions in children and adolescents.
- Collaborate with therapists, psychologists, social workers, and primary care providers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and progress.
- Document all clinical encounters and maintain accurate medical records in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
- Engage in continuous professional development, including attending relevant continuing medical education (CME) opportunities.
- Advocate for mental health awareness and work to reduce stigma in the community.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with completion of an accredited psychiatry residency and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry.
- Board certification or eligibility in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Active and unrestricted medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure in OH.
- Demonstrated commitment to working with children, adolescents, and their families.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
